Kenneth Howard "Slats" Jamison

Kenneth Jamison, 49, passed away July 14, 2005, in Rifle.

He was born April 10, 1956, in Hosington, Kan., to Ernest Howard and Patsy Jamison.

Kenneth was a tool pusher for oil rigs and a resident of Rifle since 1972.

He married Kim Elgen on June 26, 2004, at Cascade Falls in Rifle.

Kenneth was one-of-a-kind; he was a great people person, and had special friends while employed at SST Energy. He dearly loved his wife, kids and all his family. His hobbies were working on Harley-Davidsons, fishing and working in his garden.

Survivors include his wife; mother, Patsy Jamison, of Oklahoma; sons Clayton H. Jamison, of Grand Junction, James Patrick Burk, of Rifle, and Bennett Kyle Jamison, of Rifle; daughters Shelly N. Jamison, of Grand Junction, and Michaella Ellen Jamison, of Rifle; sisters Linda, Gayle, Shirley and Julie; and special friends Gary Milton, Terry Milton and Frank Bowers, whom he considered brothers.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel.

Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
