Kenneth J. “Big Mac” McMillan, age 74, died Tuesday, Dec. 7.He was born in Big Bay, Mich., on Oct. 10, 1930, to William and Georgina (Gannon) McMillan. He married the former Drusilla (Drue) Sutherland on Jan. 21, 1950, in Bay City, Mich. Ken worked with his father-in-law building homes in the Muskegon, Mich., area and was a business representative for the Local 100 in Muskegon. He was an avid fisherman, and loved to compete for all the perch in area lakes. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Muskegon.Survivors include his wife, Drusilla (Drue); two sons, Father Cliff McMillan, of Glenwood Springs, and Don McMillan, of Mississippi; one daughter, Linda (Denny) O’Brien, of Muskegon; six grandchildren: Robert (Larissa) Swanson, of Virginia, Chris (Jennifer) Swanson, of Muskegon, Carey (Chris) Lussenden, of Muskegon, Kathy (John) Miller, of Daggett, Mich., Jennifer O’Brien, of Muskegon, and Jonathon O’ Brien, of Muskegon; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Joan Thomen, of Alpena, Mich., and Sandra (Steve) Stanos, of Tawas City, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jack and William McMillan. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Ernest Bernott and Father Cliff McMillan officiating. Interment will be at Laketon Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Clock Funeral Home in Muskegon. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Restoration Fund.
