Kevin Patrick Kirby

Kevin Patrick Kirby, of Montrose, Colo., died Sunday, June 2, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Lewis, Colo.

Kevin was born Dec. 7, 1979, in Louisville, Ky., to Larry and Donna Highland Kirby. He spent his childhood in Louisville. He graduated from high school in Pagosa Springs, Colo., and was a photography student at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs.

Kevin was a member of Calvary Chapel of Montrose. He loved snowboarding and photography and had recently taken up golf.

Kevin was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Jane Highland.

He is survived by mother Donna and step-father Gary Huff, of Montrose; father Larry and step-mother Madonna Kirby, of Louisville; sisters Beth Kirby, of Louisville, and Alex Huff, of Montrose; brother Harrison Kirby, of Louisville; grandfather Dan Highland, of Montrose; grandparents Brad and Barbara Huff, of Bethany, Okla., and Thelma and Norman McPherson, of Louisville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Montrose Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 790, Montrose, CO 81401. Crippin Funeral Home in Montrose is in charge of arrangements.
