Lambert elected to fourth term as Rifle mayor

RIFLE – Mayor Keith Lambert embarked on his fourth two-year term as mayor after nomination and a unanimous vote by his fellow city councilors at an organizational meeting Monday night at Rifle City Hall.Mayor pro tem Alan Lambert nominated Keith Lambert for mayor, which was seconded by councilor Jennifer Sanborn.”Thank you to the City Council,” Lambert said after being elected. “There’s a lot of changes that have happened to the City Council over the years. I appreciate your support.”Lambert then appointed Alan Lambert for another term as mayor pro-tem.The meeting also included the swearing in of the three newly elected council members – incumbent Jonathan Rice, Jay D. Miller and Jeanette Thompson. Miller and Thompson replaced the seats of Sandy Vaccaro and Jeff Johnson, who did not seek re-election.The mayor had one thing to say after the three councilors took theirs oaths of office.”Now the fun begins.”
