Lavonne L. Hunt
Beloved mother and grandmother Lavonne Hunt died Dec. 21, 2007 after a 16-month courageous battle with cancer. Born March 10, 1932, in New Hampton, Iowa, she grew up in Waterloo before heading west, working with the LA Times; and marrying Larry Hunt in 1956. Lavonne settled in Grand Junction 34 years ago. Lavonne will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. Surviving are her three children: Craig and wife Alice, of Castle Rock, Randy and wife Jennifer of Carbondale, and Lynne Hunt, of Basalt; and three grandsons, Tyler, Trevor and Zachary. A memorial service will be at 1 pm. Thursday, Dec. 2,7 at Martin’s Mortuary in Grand Junction. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Mary’s regional cancer center.
