Leave your money, not your opinions

Dear Editor,

Well, McInnis is at it again. He thinks the McCain-Feingold bill on campaign finance reform is a bad bill and he voted against it. Of course he did! His supply of money from the oil and other energy companies might dry up!

But I really like his democratic stance on the White River National Forest Plan. He is quoted in the Post Independent (May 31-June 1) as saying that “a lot of those comments were from out of the area. …” Hmm, 9 million visitors to the WRNF and only 4 million people live in Colorado. Well visitors, thanks for your taxes. Buy your hunting licenses, your ski tickets, and leave your money but keep your mouth shut. This is the White River Garfield Forest, not the White River NATIONAL Forest.
