Leslie A. Stephens
Leslie A. Stephens, a former resident of Silt, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004. He was 74.
A celebration of his life will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 22, at the Milwaukee Public Library in Milwaukee, Wisc.
Mr. Stephens was a Korean War veteran and served as a medic with a Mash Unit. He retired after 35 years of dedicated public service with the Milwaukee Public Library, where he was highly respected by his colleagues and the people he served.
One of his favorite phrases was, “No Les, no more!”
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Stephens is survived by his partner of 47 years, Nolan Neds; by a sister, Mary Ann Erickson; and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
