“Les” Thompson of Rifle, Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home, passed away.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was avid race car fan.

He married Madeline Rose Narodowg on May 29, 1956 in Denver.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Lance and Helen; wife, Maddy; and step sister, Helen.

He is survived by sister, Mary; sons, Joe, Russ, Terry and Steve; daughters, Tina and Corinne; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



A memorial service will be held at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Rifle on Oct 1 at 12:30p.m., with a burial to follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction at 3 p.m. Family will join at the 19th St. Diner in Glenwood Springs at 6 p.m for friends to attend and celebrate his life.
