Letter: Trump thumping
I don’t know why Donald Trump is upset that there could potentially be a smaller audience to watch the presidential debates that are scheduled opposite NFL football games. He should be glad that there might be fewer viewers to see him be throughly destroyed by Hillary Clinton in the debates. She will use reason, facts and ideas, whereas all he will have in his debate arsenal will be bluster, insults and trumpery (look it up). Although, he would appear to have one distinct advantage, because as he states: “I have a very good brain, and I’ve said a lot of things.”
Of course, if he does poorly he will most likely claim the debates were rigged. It’s doubtful he will bother to school himself on foreign and domestic issues, current world affairs or the latest version of his policy positions.
The debates should be so entertaining that attracting a large audience shouldn’t be a problem. In fact they would probably be a huge draw even as a pay-per-view event.
