Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

If you have a future staked in Social Security, then you have the right to know what is happening with your money.

The Bush administration and GOP leadership are trying to convince the American people that Social Security is wobbling dangerously on the verge of collapse. The numbers compiled by the Congressional Budget Office, a majority of non-governmental agencies, and the administrative offices of Social Security itself clearly show that the institution is in no immediate or major danger.

The real purpose behind creating a facade of panic is to give the corporate private sector access to what it has desired for so long; your hard-earned money. Don’t be fooled by the rhetoric coming from Washington. The real story is that the hard-earned savings of the American people that protects us as we age will be gambled in private markets so that corporate America can have a bigger slice of the pie.

Dear Editor,

Is it true we can do the things Jesus did? Is it necessary to be baptized by complete immersion in water, as an adult, in order to make the holy connection to the creator of the universe? With this connection shall all people discover they have power over weather and other conditions via thought directed by love?

Could it be the reason the United States of America is able to help all persons in their time of need is because we have discovered the more we give with love the more we have?
