Rifle youngster Andrew Leyba took home a pair of trophies from last weekend’s Aztec Warrior Championships wrestling tournament.

Battling in the 8-and-under 54- and 58-pound brackets, Leyba came away with a pair of second-place finishes from the Farmington, N.M., tournament. Both brackets consisted of 16 wrestlers.

This was one of the final Rocky Mountain National tournaments of the season and it featured competitors from Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Washington.

Leyba entered the weekend unranked based on the current Rocky Mountain National rankings and was unseeded for the tournament. He had to defeat two kids ranked in the top 10.
