Libraries to feature storyteller this week

The summer reading program continues at the Garfield County Library branches with free weekly entertainment and reading incentives for children.During the week of July 19, all branches will feature storyteller Joe Hayes.Times and locations for the performance are as follows: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Carbondale Town Hall; 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Glenwood Library basement; 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at New Castle Community Center; 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Silt Community Center; 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at Bea Underwood Elementary School, Battlement Mesa; and 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at That Place, Rifle.The weekly shows are free and open to all ages. Children may also sign up to win prizes for achieving reading goals.For questions, contact your local library or call 945-5958.
