Lillian (Baros) Labato of Clifton, CO. passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at her home. She was 61 years old.Lillian was born in Glenwood Springs, CO. to Jose C. and Maclovia (Romero) Baros.She spent her childhood in Glenwood Springs. On Aug. 14, 1965 she married Ben Labato.Lillian was a homemaker whose main focus was her family.Survivors include her husband, Ben of Clifton, CO; sons, Jose (Jill) Labato, Anthony (Cassandra) Javalera and Eddie Ramirez; daughters, Tina (Angel) Labato and Danica (Matthew) Peet; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.A rosary will be recited Friday, March 18 at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 230 N. 3rd St. in Grand Junction, CO. The mass will follow at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roice-Hurst Humane Society (3320 D 1/2Rd. Clifton, CO 81520), or Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado (3090 B N. 12 St. Grand Junction, CO 81506).

Forest Service investigates Independence Pass snowmobiling case; alleged culprit posted pictures on social media
Numerous people have identified Breckenridge resident David Lesh as one of the men riding snowmobiles on snow-free terrain near Aspen. Lesh has posted several pictures of his illegal activity on social media, including snowmobiling at what he identified as the summit of Mount Elbert.
