Lobsters and tunes in Carbondale

Staff ReportPost IndependentGlenwood Springs, CO Colorado

CARBONDALE, Colorado What could go better together than lobsters and live music? Thats the surreal question Carbondale has been asking for years. Once again, the 7th Annual Music & Lobster Fest is right around the corner. Starting at 5 p.m. on June 27th, 35 musical acts coming will be coming to seven venues in historic, downtown Cdale. Most of the live music is offered free of charge thanks to the Town of Carbondale, Steve’s Guitars and the musicians themselves. At the Town Plaza, 4th and Main streets, lobster lovers can buy a hunk of crustacean with drink and dessert for just $35. At 9 p.m. Saturday morning attendees can join in the 5K & 10K races presented by the CRMS preschool. At 11 a.m., they will have their annual Lobster Crawl touted as a must-see. This year, a farmers market will round out Saturdays activities. There will be things for the kiddies, too: a dunk tank, jump castle, and hot dogs and drinks. For more information and tickets, just drop by the Carbondale Recreation & Community Center, or give them a call at 704-4190.
