Local 2004 election results

The Downtown Development Authority 5 mill levy was defeated 59% to 41%, 115 to 80. The 5 mill levy would have provided funds to hire a DDA director.

Both the Roaring Fork school district Re-1 $1.8 million mill levy override and $86 million school bond won approval by voters 66%-34% for the override, and 59%-41% for the bond issue.

The Garfield school district Re-2 $2.7 million mill levy override won approval by voters 54%-46%.

The Glenwood Springs street tax issue passed 51%-49%. The street tax will impose a 1/2 cent sales tax. The bonding issue that goes with sales tax was approved 55%-45%.

Final results are in for the Garfield County Commissioners race. In District 2, incumbent John Martin retained his seat by defeating Greg Jeung 51%-49%. In District 3, incumbent Larry McCown defeated Keith Lambert 52%-48%.
