The Glenwood Springs Water Department asks all city public water users to eliminate all unnecessary water usage, especially outdoor uses, for 36 hours, beginning 6 a.m. Friday, July 29, through 6 p.m. Saturday, July 30. The water treatment plant will be off-line during this time for utility work at the Eighth and Midland Avenue intersection. Call 945-8372 or 945-7685 with questions.

YouthZone has come up with a new way to participate in the Kiss-N-Squeal fund-raiser. Come up with the best login name on YouthZone’s Web auction, and the candidate of your choice will be rewarded with an $800 bonus to their votes. The auction ends at 8 a.m. Aug.1. The winner will be notified by phone. Judges will be community members of varying ages.
