When Western State College’s Water Workshop began 30 years ago, it was a different world, and the college’s 30th Water Workshop, “Thirty Years Ago, Who Would Ever Have Imagined,” July 27-29, will focus on that difference.
The conference will feature two hands-on workshops. Russell George, director of Colorado’s Department of Natural Resources and, now, the director of Compact Negotiations, will lead an analysis and “test case” of the Colorado Water for the 21st Century Act (HB05-1177) Friday morning. Also present will be HB05-1177’s primary sponsors, state Rep. Josh Penry, R-Grand Junction, and state Sen. Jim Isgar, D-Hesperus.
All events will be in Western’s College Union in Gunnison.
For more information or to register, contact director George Sibley at (970) 943-2055, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
