Carbondale’s Board of Trustees has postponed a discussion on development economics and the development review process until Sept. 15.

The board had planned to discuss a variety of issues Tuesday night related to the costs of development and the length of time it takes to get a project through the review process. A presentation related to the issue was not yet ready for this week’s meeting.

The Colorado Historical Society will hold a community meeting to give residents of Glenwood Springs an opportunity to participate in the development of an upcoming State Historic Preservation Plan. The historical society wants your input in order to develop the most effective State Historic Preservation Plan possible, and seeks to identify your community’s strengths and weaknesses in terms of historic preservation.

Come help to shape a shared vision, goals and objectives, and a blueprint for future action through cooperation and partnership. The historical society is also interested to learn how it can provide support and assistance with your community’s local historic preservation goals.

The meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 5-6:30 p.m. at City Council Chambers, fist floor, 101 W. Eighth Street, Glenwood Springs
