Garfield County Crime Stoppers is searching for any information on an attempted break-in at the Catherine Store (Highway 82 and County Road 100) that occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday, May 16. This year’s Strawberry Days Carnival will be held June 17-20 at the Glenwood Springs Mall. All access discount passes are available at the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association and Safeway.

The 113th annual Strawberry Days Festival will be held June 18-20, with most of the festivities at Sayre Park.

Unlimited ride one-day passes are available at a discount in advance for $18 from May 25 through June 16 during regular business hours at Safeway (2001 Grand Ave.) and the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association (1102 Grand Ave.). The deadline for purchasing the discount passes is 4 p.m. on June 16. Unlimited ride one-day passes will be available at the carnival for $25, and individual tickets will be sold for $1 each.

Carnival parking is very limited, so people are encouraged to utilize the free Ride Glenwood buses. Buses pick up passengers at various locations and drop them off at the Glenwood Springs Mall.

Every third Thursday of the month in downtown Glenwood Springs, retail stores will be staying open a bit later with discounts, promotions, door prize give-a-ways and more. The Frontier Historical Society Museum is looking for volunteers for the summer season to greet visitors to the museum, take admission and sell items from the gift shop.
