On Friday, May 27, and Saturday, May 28, artists can train in pen and ink techniques with artist Jane Seglem. The workshop costs $100, and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch breaks. The Frontier Historical Museum needs front desk volunteers from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Fridays. The museum also needs substitute volunteers throughout the year and provides training. For more information, call 945-4448.

The theme of this year’s summer reading program is “Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds.” Library branches will present a weekly program from June 7 through July 28. Free entertainment will include juggling, magic, music and puppets. Children may sign up to win prizes for achieving reading goals.
