The Sunlight Mountain Inn is open for upscale dining starting this Memorial Day weekend. Dinners will include a free bottle of wine for adults 21 and older. Call the Sunlight Mountain Inn at 945-5225 for information or to make reservations.

All veterans and the public are invited to attend the Memorial Day observance at noon Monday at the Roaring Rork Valley Vietnam Veterans Memorial, located on the east side of the Court House, 506 E. Main St. in Aspen. Veterans are encouraged to wear uniforms, items of military memorabilia, or both. Following the service, the Elks Club will hold a picnic for veterans, their families and friends at Conner Park, next to City Hall.

Parachute is seeking letters of interest to fill a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission. The term of this seat expires in April 2006.

Individuals seeking this position should submit a letter of interest to the Planning and Zoning Commission, Town of Parachute, P.O. Box 100, Parachute, CO 81635, or deliver in person at 222 Grand Valley Way, Parachute, by 5 p.m. Friday, June 3.



The theme of this year’s summer reading program is “Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds.” Library branches will present a weekly program from June 7 through July 28. Kids may sign up to win prizes for achieving reading goals.
