EAGLE COUNTY – Construction work on Interstate 70 on Vail Pass will be stopped to help holiday traffic from Tuesday evening to Friday morning next week, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The project is slated to be done Dec. 21. The public information line for the project is (303) 319-5857.

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority is in the process of removing bike racks from buses and replacing them with ski racks. The effort will be complete by Thanksgiving Day – opening day of the ski season in Aspen/Snowmass.

Also on Thanksgiving, RFTA will be changing its service schedule on some routes. The changes will be in effect from Nov. 25 through Dec. 10. The current city of Aspen bus schedule will continue until mid-December.

Go to http://www.rfta.com to check the schedule changes that take place on Nov. 25. The valley bus routes, Woody Creek service, Hogback route and service to Snowmass Village will see schedule changes.
