PARACHUTE, Colorado – A fleet of roughly 50 trucks will take the next four days to move a drilling rig from one site to another near Parachute starting today.According to Community Counts, a nonprofit, industry-funded organization, Williams Production RMT will be moving H&P Rig No. 278 from a site to the west of Parachute along U.S. Highway 6, crossing over the interstate and over Una Bridge to a site about a mile east of the bridge.The route will marked by electronic signs, and there are to be pilot cars and flaggers to provide assistance, according to Community Counts.Motorists can expect the Una Bridge, which is relatively narrow, to be periodically closed for brief durations.

FLAT TOPS, Colorado – A father and son hunting in the Coffee Pot Springs area of the Flat Tops reported missing around 11 p.m. on Wednesday evening were found at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Department.The man, 44, and his son, 17, reportedly did not have warm weather clothing or food. However, they made it throughout the night and are now safe, the sheriff’s department reports.The department did not release any other information about the incident.
