Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
MEEKER, Colorado – Third District Congressman Scott Tipton, R-Cortez, said he would attend the ceremonial cutting of the 2012 Capitol Christmas tree, set for 10 a.m. today at the Ripple Creek Lodge, 39 miles east of Meeker.
Tipton said he will speak publicly during the event.
The 73-foot Engelmann spruce, growing on the grounds of the lodge, is to be taken to Meeker for a community celebration before being hauled across the country to Washington, D.C.
The tree convoy will stop in Glenwood Springs for a public event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Glenwood Springs Mall.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado – The city of Glenwood Springs invites the public to attend an open house to learn about the city’s parking study. Those attending can listen to a presentation, view parking maps and provide feedback regarding parking.
The open house will be held in two sessions, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and again from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road.

Over 75,000 hikers visited Hanging Lake during this year’s peak season. Via signage, the city hopes to point more of those hikers also in the direction of downtown Glenwood Springs.
