Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
RIFLE, Colorado – Don Simpson, vice president of business development for Ursa Resources, the company that has purchased the Piceance Basin assets of Antero Resources, will give a presentation at the monthly meeting of the Garfield County Energy Advisory Board.
Ursa Resources Group II is the purchaser of the Piceance Basin assets previously held by Antero Resources.
The meeting is set for 5:30-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Rifle Branch Library, 207 East Ave. A light meal and social time is at 5:30, followed by the meeting at 6 p.m.
The Energy Advisory Board is a monthly forum for the public, oil and gas industry, landowners and local government to discuss energy development in the region.
PARACHUTE, Colorado – The fire that consumed a double-wide trailer in the Pioneer Mobile Home Court early Monday was caused by an electrical failure, according to Grand Valley Fire Chief David Blair.
Blair said an investigation on Tuesday by Jerry Means, arson agent for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, revealed that the fire started under the back porch of the trailer, and was caused by an electrical short in the heat tape that was wrapped around the water line serving the trailer.
