A training workshop for new Valley Spellbinders will be from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 20 and Sept. 21, at the Eagle County Building in El Jebel. Spellbinders volunteers tell stories in the oral tradition, making eye-to-eye contact and heart-to-heart contact with children. Glenwood Springs Middle School will host its fall Back-To-School Night from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday.Parents are invited join the staff in the cafeteria at 5:30 for a middle school overview and then enjoy exploring the school with students. This is not a parent conference night, but it is an opportunity for a firsthand school experience. Call 384-5500 with questions.



The Grand Valley Historical Society will be presenting its fourth annual Cemetery Stroll from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Battlement Mesa Cemetery. Tickets are $8 (children accompanied by adult are free) and will be on sale at the Battlement Mesa City Market the first three Saturdays in September from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
