The Stepstone Center’s second annual Fashion and Talent Show will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Carbondale Community School. This will be an evening filled with thought-provoking performance art, music and dance, celebrating the great community we live in. The Hideouts will play immediately following the performance.

This production needs volunteers to model, build sets and keep the night running smoothly. There will be a meeting for all interested volunteers at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the SEI classroom. To participate, call Amy Kimberly at 618-1104.

Celebrate 10 years of good works by Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers at the Tribute to Trails dinner and dance at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Hikers, bikers, equestrians and all valley residents who love the outdoors are invited to the dinner and dance at T-Lazy-7 Ranch near Aspen. Local favorite Jimmy Dykann and his band will provide live dance music.

Reservations are requested. The event is free for 2004 and 2005 workday volunteers, $25 for current RFOV members and $50 for new members. For questions or reservations, visit http://www.rfov.org or call 927-8241.

WestStar Bank employees are donating $10 each to the Komen Foundation in celebration of Lee National Denim Day on Friday. In return they get to wear jeans to work.

“We have a policy of no jeans but this is a special day and we’re going to have fun with it,” said Michele Diamond, vice president of WestStar Bank.

In addition, for every customer that makes a donation to the Komen Foundation, WestStar Bank will add an additional dollar to that donation.
