Rifle High School is seeking both a varsity and assistant boys soccer coach for next school year.

Sunlight Mountain Resort is hosting The Joslin Classic, a challenging Telemark Classic format race down Joslin, at 9 a.m. on Jan. 22.

The Pedal Power Snowshoe Adventure Series is making a Saturday stop at the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center for both a 5K and 10K competition.

This third event in the series is dubbed the Colorado State Snowshoe Championships and will kick off at 10 a.m. The 10K race will determine the state champions in both women’s and men’s categories.

Racers will meet at the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center at Ski Cooper, which is located between Interstate 70 and Leadville.

Registration is $20 and participants can pre-register with forms from Pedal Power Bicycle Shop in Eagle-Vail or by calling (970) 845-0931. Registration forms can be downloaded online at pedalpowerbike.com. Participants can also register on the day of the event for $25.

This race is a regional qualifying race for the 11th annual U.S. National Championships at Lakewood Resort in Cable, Wisc.

The Post Independent’s Jan. 12 article on Glenwood Springs-Rifle girls basketball incorrectly identified Glenwood’s Lexie Warkentin as grabbing a rebound late in the game and then making a pass that was stolen by Rifle’s Cortney Cordova. A teammate of Warkentin’s made the rebound and the pass.
