Try Hockey For Free, a nationwide USA Hockey event, is coming to Glenwood Springs. The event is slated for Saturday from 2-3 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Community Center ice rink.

The program is for prospective players from 4 to 9 years old. Skates, sticks and limited helmets will be supplied. Gloves of any type are required. Participants receive a free USA Hockey jersey and a goodie bag.

Roaring Fork High School will host a basketball parent meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the gym, and it is for parents of both boys and girls basketball players.
