More than 82 Buddy Werner ski racers competed in a slalom race on Sunlight Mountain Resort’s Ivy’s Run on Saturday.
Buddy Werner racers are local youth, 5 to 12 years old, who train and compete on Saturdays at Sunlight Mountain. They are members of the Sunlight Winter Sports Club.
Under bright sun and warm temperatures, the young Buddy Werner racers competed against the clock for the best times.
The following are the top five overall female and males:
Female: 1. Hailey Hoffman, 2. Victoria Madden, 3. Matilda Barth, 4. Ericka Deimoz, 5. Kailey Murphy.
Male: 1. William Grosscup, 2. Blake Novy, 3. Reid Swanson, 4. Curtis Madden, 5. Orion Adelman.

The Glenwood Springs High School baseball program is holding a taco dinner fundraiser at the school on Friday, Feb. 17. The dinner will take place from 4-7 p.m. and advance tickets are $7 for a two-taco dinner plate. The price goes up to $8 at the door. A one-taco plate will be $7 at the door.
