The Glenwood Springs High School football program is organizing a fundraiser for the Marr family on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Vic’s Route 6 in West Glenwood.

From 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., $20 adult meals and $10 child meals will be available for purchase, with proceeds going to the Marr family.

At 8 p.m., there will be a drawing for Denver Broncos tickets and more. Also, silent auction items will be up for bid, including (but not limited to) artwork, restaurant gift certificates, store gift certificates and wine.

New Castle Recreation is offering volleyball mini-tournaments for adults on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Riverside Middle School and on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Elk Creek Elementary School.

Both tournaments will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The format will change each week depending on the number of participants, and may include doubles, triples, quads and sixes play. Registration fees are $5 per player at the door.

The Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race at Sunlight Mountain Resort, originally scheduled for Dec. 9, has been postponed to Sunday, Jan. 6, because of a lack of snow.

The Junior Titans Ballers Camp, a winter basketball camp, is slated for Jan. 2-5 at Coal Ridge High School.

All boys and girls in the third through eighth grades are eligible to sign up. The camp will run from 8-10 a.m. each day. T-shirts and snacks are provided.
