The Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge is raffling off a bicycle formerly owned by professional racer Andy Schleck. Schleck rode the American Flyer Team Saxo Bank bike in the Tour of California.
Tickets are $100 per ticket or six tickets for $500. This is a limited raffle, with only 120 tickets up for sale. All proceeds go toward building a spinning room at Glenwood Springs High School.
The drawing will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge.

Rifle Creek Golf Course is hosting its annual Labor Day Tournament Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4-5. The entry fee is $125, plus carts. There will be gross and net payoffs.
Also part of the weekend’s festivities are a Friday pro-am and an event dubbed “Special Events Friday Night.” The latter begins at 6 p.m. and will be held in Columbine Restaurant.

Glenwood Springs Parks and Recreation is putting on a youth flag football program this fall.
First-, second- and third-graders will learn the fundamentals of football, such as passing, offense, defense, stance and more.
The course is held Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:45 p.m. at Vogelaar Park and the cost is $40 for Glenwood residents and $50 for non-residents.

Are you ready for some football?
Join Carbondale Recreation for some introductory flag football fun. Practice passing, catching, punting and kicking.
Learn the basic rules of flag football and participate in organized scrimmages. The program is for first- and second-grade boys and girls.
Class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept.13-Oct. 6, at Sopris Park from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and the fee is $35.

The Sunday Night 4-on-4 Basketball League is looking for two teams to join for the upcoming season. Games are played every Sunday night at Glenwood Springs Middle School, beginning Sept. 26. The cost is $300 per team.

Glenwood Springs Parks and Recreation is holding a fall men’s basketball league.
The league consists of a six-week season and a single-elimination tournament. Games are played at the Glenwood Springs Community Center.
Sign up by Sept. 27. The cost is $455 per team for residents or $555 for non-residents. To qualify for the resident rate, 55 percent of rostered players must live within the Glenwood Springs city limits.
After Sept. 22, non-resident fees go up to $505.
Rosters are due and play begins on Monday, Oct. 4. There is a mandatory managers meeting slated for Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.
