The annual Tater Trot, a staple of Carbondale’s annual Potato Days, takes place Saturday, Oct. 2. Course options include a 5K or one-mile run.

The start time is at 8 a.m. on Holland Drive (between the soccer field at Hendrick Ranch and the community garden). Race proceeds benefit Carbondale Soccer Club.

Registration forms are available at Red Rock Diner in Carbondale or at http://www.carbondalesoccerclub.org. Race-day registration runs from 7:15-7:45 a.m.

Women 18 and older interested in playing competitive or recreational hockey are invited to an informational meeting Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Community Center ice rink.
