2014 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

On May 10, the National Association of Letter Carriers will try to replenish depleted stock at food banks and pantries across the country with their “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive.

In 22 years, the event has collected over a billion pounds of food across the United States. The event is timed to help support the hungry when food donated during the holidays begin to run low and school lunch programs are gone for the summer.

To donate, just leave a non-perishable food donation in a bag by the mailbox on Saturday, May 10, and the Postal carrier will do the rest.

For more information, go to http://www.helpstampouthunger.com or contact Marian Atkins at the Carbondale Post Office, 963-3411.
