27th Street bridge sidewalk closed April 6-7

Geotechnical testing to prepare for the eventual 27th Street bridge construction will affect pedestrian access across the bridge during the day on April 6 and 7.

The bridge sidewalk will be closed from 9 a.m. until boring operations are completed each day. Pedestrians should plan to use either the new 14th Street bridge or the Cardiff bridge. Vehicle travel over the 27th Street bridge will not be affected.

Information collected from the testing will be used in design and planning for the planned replacement of the 27th Street bridge.

All work times are approximate and are weather dependent. For more information on this and other city projects, visit http://www.cogs.us/Projects.
