Two-year old Landon Vaught (center) and two and a half year old Carolyn Kimmel spent Friday evening carving pumpkins at the Glen-A-Palooza Lumber Jack Bash on Cooper Avenue. Participants were invited to wear their best flannel shirts, take part in the pumpkin carving competition and play games. The next Glen-A-Palooza will be the second Friday of November and will be taking place inside at the Glenwood Vaudeville Review for a fashion show put on by the local shops of downtown Glenwood Springs. Friday, 4-8 p.m. Celebrate Glenwood Springs on the second Friday of each month. The October evening is themed “A Magical and Spellbinding Event,” and will feature “inspirational” beads and yarn at The Silver Bead; a pray for snow party at The Fourth Dimension; a reception for ceramic artist Rebecca Corona at Cooper Corner Gallery; and more.
