Artificial turf stolen from Glenwood day care

Our School day care in Glenwood Springs is asking folks to be on the lookout for a 360-square-foot roll of artificial turf that was stolen earlier this month.

The turf, which school officials say has an estimated value of between $1,500 and $2,000, was donated in June to the school by Chobani Inc. It was slated to be used as a play space for the kids, but disappeared sometime on the night of Friday, July 11, before it could be installed.

Joy Love, Director of Our School, called the theft “a little disheartening.”

Love encouraged anyone with information to contact the Glenwood Springs Police Department, 970-384-6500.
