Skiers and riders will pay $30 to $50 more this winter for a season ski pass at Aspen Snowmass, Aspen Skiing Co. announced Thursday.

The primary passes are going up between 2.8 and 3.6 percent. The people that ski the least will face the biggest increases, according to the prices Skico released Thursday.

Passes go on sale Monday. The best prices are offered for purchases by the “super early” deadline by Sept. 9.

A Premier Pass, which offers unlimited skiing with no blackout days, will cost $1,799, Skico said. That is an increase of $50 or 2.9 percent from last season.

The Premier Pass with the chamber of commerce discount will cost $1,299. That is an increase of $40 or 3.1 percent from last season.

The two-day-per-week pass, known as the Double Flex, is increasing $40 from last season to $1,449. That’s an increase of 2.8 percent.

The Double Flex with the chamber discount is increasing from $1,109 to $1,149. That $40 difference is a 3.6 percent increase.

The one-day-per-week pass called the Flex is increasing from $959 to $989, a boost of 3.1 percent.

The Flex with the chamber discount is going from $819 to $849. That is a $30 or 3.6 percent.

The chamber discounts will also be available to spouses of eligible employees.

Skico touted $1,000 of “exclusive benefits” available through the premier pass. Purchasers of that pass get four transferable vouchers, each for 50 percent off a one-day lift ticket. They are also eligible to buy single-day lift tickets for 50 percent off at resorts that partnered with Aspen Skiing Co. in the Mountain Collective pass. Those resorts include Telluride, Taos, Jackson Hole and Sun Valley.

Skico’s Premier Pass is available at various rates in addition to adult. The senior pass, for ages 65-69, is $1,299. Premier Silver for ages 70 and above is $479. The College Premier is $639 while the child and teen, for ages 7 to 17, is $639. A parent pass is $1,799.

Skico is also offering a variety of Classic Passes. The best rates are available through Oct. 14. The adult four-day Classic Pass is $249. The adult seven-day Classic Pass is $389.

“I’m really excited about the coming winter, and it’s fun to see the entire community pedaling faster and hiking harder to get their legs ready for snow,” said Skico President and CEO Mike Kaplan in a prepared statement.

“This year we continue to build upon our commitment to enabling local families to spend time on the slopes together,” Kaplan said. “With the parent pass, school passes, college passes and Chamber pricing for spouses, we’re hoping to see multiple generations getting up on the hill to create memories, enjoy the mountains, and reconnect as a family. I’ve also heard from many locals that they are excited about the addition of Telluride and Revelstoke to the Mountain Collective family, 50 percent off lift tickets at those resorts is a great excuse to go for a road trip!”

Skico passes will go on sale Monday at the Aspen Mountain Ticket Office, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Snowmass Base Village Four Mountain Sports, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Buyers can also purchase by calling 970-923-1227 or going online at http://www.aspensnowmass.com/store.
