BLM advisory council meets May 22 in Grand Junction

The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Colorado Resource Advisory Council will meet Wednesday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the BLM Grand Junction Field Office, 2815 H Road.

The meeting is open to the public, with a public comment period related to items on the agenda scheduled for 11 a.m.

Agenda items include a discussion of field office priorities, Grand Junction transportation planning, Roan Plateau supplemental EIS, an update on the Northwest Colorado Greater Sage-grouse EIS, and a swearing-in ceremony for Grand Junction Field Manager Katie Stevens.

The Northwest Colorado RAC meets quarterly in northwestern Colorado. It is one of several citizen advisory councils to BLM Colorado. Its 15 members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and represent a broad range of public land interests, including environmental, local government, wild horse and burro, and commercial activity.
