Bridge, Grand Avenue discussed at Glenwood Springs open forum
GLENWOOD SPRINGS — An open forum with Glenwood Springs City Council members today will allow the public to share their thoughts and have a dialogue about the proposed new Grand Avenue Bridge and the separate but related Highway 82 Access Control Plan.
Citizens to Save Grand Avenue has organized the forum, beginning at 5 p.m. today on the patio at Peppo Nino restaurant, located at 702 Grand Ave.
“This is open to the public and they are welcome to come share there ideas and questions,” said John Haines, who chairs the Save Grand group.
Several City Council members have also indicated that they would try to attend, and the group is working on lining up a moderator for the event.
Start a dialogue, stay on topic and be civil.
If you don't follow the rules, your comment may be deleted.
Former Carbondale trustee Katrina Byars said she wants to bring a voice of environmental sustainability to the commission, and believes her opponent has served long enough.
