The Basalt-based firm of Hagman Architects was honored by the Colorado West division of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for their design of the Snowmass Recreation Center. The judges noted the applications of sustainable and green technologies utilized in the design of the community space, exceeding the county’s rigorous and required point system.

Roaring Fork Valley Co-op contributed prizes to the June 2 WRCA Vail Valley Championship Ranch Rodeo held at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo on June 1-3 in Eagle.



Each ranch rodeo participant received a pair of roping gloves and a scarf, and every member of the champion team wins a prize package from the co-op including a saddle blanket, rope halter and lead, stirrup and curb straps, hondo and set of bell boots.

The Vail Valley Championship Ranch Rodeo is fully sanctioned by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association and is a qualifying event for the 2007 WRCA World Championship.
