Zwelling, a graduate of the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry, recently completed her low vision/cornea and contact lens residency at the University of California School of Optometry, while she was also a clinical instructor at Berkeley.

Colorado Federal Savings Bank has added a commercial real estate loan facility, according to Patrick Dalrymple, vice chairman of the federally chartered thrift institution.
The programs offered encompass apartment houses, light industrial units, office, and retail complexes. Also, loans are available for franchise restaurants.
Colorado Federal is based in the Denver Tech Center; its mortgage banking platform is in Dallas, and it has a local office in Carbondale.
Jim Warren has completed the specialized real estate investment course “Creating Wealth through Residential Real Estate Investments,” conducted by the Council of Residential Specialists of the National Association of Realtors.
The course was conducted in Denver, and is one of the classes that could be taken by real estate agents and brokers who will eventually qualify for the coveted certified residential specialist (CRS) designation.
The course covered the fundamentals of investment, taxes affecting real estate investments, and investment strategies to create wealth.
Edward Jones recently was named the No. 2 large company on the “Best companies to work for in Colorado” ranking.
ColoradoBiz teamed up with the Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pa., and the Society for Human Resource Management Colorado State Council, Jobing.com and a number of human resource organization chapters to rank the state’s best employers.
The ranking was based on an employer inventory of practices and an anonymous survey of employees. At this year’s event, Edward Jones was cited for its generous profit-sharing plan.

Glen Jammaron has been promoted to president of Alpine Banks of Colorado, Chairman J. Robert Young announced recently. Jammaron is a 22-year veteran with Alpine Banks, having joined the bank in 1985, after graduating from Western State College. He has served a wide variety of executive positions with the banks, including branch president, head of central operations and as a long-term board member.
Jammaron succeeds Dave Scruby, who has been named president of Alpine Banks, central operations. Central operations is the largest group within the Alpine Bank system, employing 130 people in locations in Rifle, Denver and Grand Junction. In his new role, Scruby will direct the banks’ expanded technological initiatives, online banking, the call center, as well as virtually all support divisions of the bank.
