Carbondale among Top 10 active towns

CARBONDALE — Carbondale has been voted one of the top 10 active towns in the country by readers and participants in a poll by Outside, which bills itself as “America’s leading active-lifestyle publication,” according to a release by the Tourism Council of Carbondale.

Park City, Utah, won the top ranking in the list, while others in the top 10 included Bozeman, Mont.; San Diego, Calif.; Boston, Mass.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Spokane, Wash.; Greenville, S.C.; Honolulu, Hawaii; and Waitsfield, Vt.

As one of the “best active town” finalists, Carbondale will be featured in the September issue of Outside Magazine, due on newsstands today.
