Carbondale forum addresses housing for disabled
The Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council (CDDC), in conjunction with Valley Life for All, will host an educational meeting focusing on housing options and resources for people with disabilities, from 12:30-2 p.m. Friday at the Third Street Center in Carbondale.
This “Lunch and Learn” session will include lunch provided by Valley Life and Extreme Sports Camp.
Lori Rosendahl and Chris Roe will lead a conversation about housing options and resources for the disabled, as well as the importance of having a safe and affordable place to live for people with disabilities in Colorado.
Rosendahl is head of the Grand Junction Housing Authority and a director of the Colorado chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), a housing advocacy group. Roe works for the Colorado Division of Housing and oversees homelessness prevention, with a focus on services for people with disabilities.
There will be a time for questions and answers following the presentation.
