Carbondale Police seek info about attempted assault, suspicious vehicle

The Carbondale Police Department is looking for information from the public regarding an attempted assault that occurred Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 50 to 60 years old, 5 feet. 5 inches to 6 feet tall with a heavy build, a beard and gray and black hair driving a red Ford Expedition with Texas licenses plates.

The Carbondale Police Department is also looking for information regarding a report of a male offering rides to children in the Colorado Meadows Park area.



The vehicle is described as a silver Honda Passport or Pilot with very dark tinted windows and a wide gray, white, and black pinstripe along the bottom of the vehicle that curls up the front door. If you see this vehicle, police officials are asking for you to safely try to obtain the license plate number and contact the Carbondale Police Department.

Any suspicious activity should be reported to 911 immediately.
