C’dale trustees look at 2015 events
The Carbondale Special Events Task Force will present its recommendations for 2015 special events for approval when the Board of Trustees meets Tuesday night.
The proposed schedule calls for Main Street closures each First Friday except for January, March, April and November. In addition to usual Sopris Park events — the Easter Egg Hunt, Dandelion Day, the 4th of July, Mountain Fair, Festival Las Americas and Potato Day — it brings back two Sundays of live music on July 12 and Aug. 9. The Fourth Street Plaza would see a similar lineup to last year: the Mt. Sopris Music Fest, Blues & BBQ, Cowboy Up, Oktoberfest and weekly farmer’s markets.
The item is on the agenda for 7:25 p.m. Jan. 27.
