City forming advisory group for code update

The city of Glenwood Springs is seeking up to eight individuals to serve on a citizens advisory group to help rewrite the city’s land-use development code.

Recently, the city contracted with Clarion Associates to begin the process of redrafting and updating the code. People already familiar with the land-use code, including land-use attorneys, planners, builders, engineers, developers, building and landscape architects, are encouraged to apply.

The advisory group will meet between four and six times between the end of March, early April and December of this year.

Applications must be received by 4 p.m. this Wednesday, March 9, either online at; email to; fax to (970) 945-5023; or by mail to City Clerk, 101 W. Eighth St., Glenwood Springs 81601.

City Council will consider all qualified applicants and make appointments during its regular meeting on March 17.
