CMC Spring Valley campus closed today due to power outage
Colorado Mountain College’s campus at Spring Valley will be closed for everything except essential services to residential students on Friday due to a prolonged power outage scheduled by Holy Cross Electric, according to a news release from the college.
Beginning at 7 a.m., Internet and phone service will not be available on campus. The outage is expected to extend into the afternoon. All Friday classes have either been moved or rescheduled.
Phone messages can still be left by calling 947-8200. However, depending on the nature of the call, it may be Monday before calls are returned, college officials said.
The power outage will not affect CMC’s Carbondale or Glenwood centers. Classes and services will continue as normal at those locations, according to the release.
