CMC to conduct information sessions for new students

Colorado Mountain College will present two New Student Early Registration workshops, on July 18 in Carbondale and July 23 in Glenwood Springs. First-time college students planning to attend CMC this fall are requested to attend one of the orientation workshops.

Students who participate in the workshops will have the opportunity to register for classes ahead of the July 29 open registration date, giving them a greater selection of available classes.

In addition, participants will explore degree programs and learn about financial aid, advising and registration.

To be eligible for these workshops, participants must be a first-time college student, complete a CMC application and provide testing scores (SAT, ACT, the CMC Accuplacer test). An appointment to take the Accuplacer test can be made prior to the workshop dates.

Students must sign up in advance for the workshop of their choice by calling 963-2172 in Carbondale or 945-7486 in Glenwood Springs. Both workshops begin at 5 p.m.
