CMC to offer intensive Spanish class
Colorado Mountain College in June will hold a seven-day, mini-immersion Spanish class that is primarily aimed at helping teachers use Spanish in the classroom and in communicating with their students’ parents.
The instructor, Meredith Kasper, will emphasize useful vocabulary for teacher-to-student and teacher-to-parent communication, as well as the basics of grammar structure and present and past tense.
While the course content will focus on vocabulary and communication used in an educational setting, this class is open to anyone who would like a mini-immersion language experience. No prior Spanish language study is required.
The class meets from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 9 to June 17. Class is held at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, 1402 Blake Ave. Cost is three credit hours of tuition. Interested individuals are asked to register by June 3.
